简 介
赛门(杰森贝特曼饰演)与萝苹(蕾贝卡霍尔饰演)是一对刚搬到加州的幸福夫妻。觅得新工作、前途一片光明的赛门,拥有漂亮妻子与豪华房子,生活一切都顺遂得令人羡慕。
直到某日,赛门无意间与高中老同学葛登(乔尔埃哲顿饰演)重逢。过去被同学们戏称为「葛咖」的葛登,还是跟赛门记忆中的一样古怪,但萝苹却觉得葛登既温和又有风度。两人的甜蜜感情,因为葛登的出现而产生分歧,周遭也开始发生一连串怪事。在萝苹锲而不捨地追查之下,一个被隐藏近20年的可怕秘密逐渐浮上檯面。究竟葛登接近这对夫妻的目的是什麽呢?

本片是演员乔尔·埃哲顿(《了不起的盖茨比》、《黑色弥撒》)的导演处女作。同时也是由他本人编写剧本，还在影片中出演男二号。
本片的拍摄计划在2012年首次公布。当时乔尔·埃哲顿的剧本还名叫《怪胎》(Weirdo)。
